Ekilora

the sun flower

Art, planners, and templates designed to bring warmth and light into your space.

Our Story

In the mountains between Spain and France, the Basque people have hung sun flowers — ekilore — on their doors for centuries as symbols of protection, warmth, and light.

Legend says the goddess Mari created the flower to bring the comfort of the sun into every home, warding off darkness even through the longest nights.

That tradition inspires everything we make. Every design is crafted to bring a little warmth and light into your space.

About Ekilora

Ekilora (eh-kee-LOR-ah) takes its name from the Basque word for sunflower — ekilore, from eki meaning “sun” and lore meaning “flower.”

The Basque people are one of the oldest cultures in Europe, living in the mountains between Spain and France for thousands of years. Their traditions run deep — and one of the most beautiful is the ekilore hung on every farmhouse door. A piece of the sun's warmth, keeping watch over the home.

We create art, planners, templates, and design resources with that same intention. Things made with care, meant to bring warmth and light into your everyday life. Whether it's a print on your wall, a planner on your desk, or a design file for your next project — every piece carries that spirit.
